Looking for Halloween lunch ideas for kids? This Hallooween bento with a mummy sandwich is sure to be a hit for lunch or snack time on Halloween.

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been on a bit of a bento kick lately and thought it only fitting to make a fun Halloween bento for kids. I have seen some very impressive and elaborate bento lunch ideas on Pinterest, but like with all things I keep it simple and totally doable for a busy week day.

Need some easy Halloween lunch ideas? Make lunchtime more spook-tacular with this simple-to-make Halloween bento for kids, featuring a mummy sandwich.

Halloween Lunch Ideas for Kids

This fun Halloween bento includes a mummy sandwich, orange and black kabobs, strawberries, and a peanut butter cracker spider.

Mummy Sandwich

Make your favorite sandwich (we had bologna), and give it a round shape by cutting the bread and sandwich fillings with a large round cookie cutter or the open end of a glass. Cut two slices of a pimento filled olive for the eyes. To create the mummy effect, cut strips of your favorite white cheese. I used a round slice of Provolone cheese, and cut it to size with the same glass I used to cut my bread.

Orange and Black Kabobs

Using a toothpick, simply skewer cherry tomatoes and black olives.

Peanut Butter Cracker Spider

You will need 2 round whole wheat crackers, peanut butter, 4 pretzel sticks broken in half, and 2 raisins. Spread peanut butter onto the crackers to help the pretzel spider lets stick into place. Add 2 raisin eyes with a dab of peanut butter.

Fill in with with whatever fruits or vegetables your child prefers. We happened to have some fresh strawberries today. If you happen to have one, toss in a spider ring for more fun.

If you are packing this Halloween lunch for school, be sure to tuck in one of these fun printable Halloween lunchbox notes.

Halloween is by far my favorite holiday for being creative. Need more Halloween lunch ideas? Your kids might also enjoy these fun monster jello cups and classic OREO spider cookies.

That lunch is so cute! I’ve been wanting to get some supplies and give it a try. Is online the best place to get them?

I didn’t use any special supplies for this particular bento, Anne. The few sandwich cutters that I sometimes use and bento lunch box, came from Amazon.

The mummy is so cute! The whole effect is just adorable, and I like how achievable it is, as some of the ones I’ve seen online are great…for moms who never sleep and have both the time and the talent to carve carrot bunnies and other ridiculousness.
