Spending time outdoors with my family is very important to me, especially during the summertime. We love BBQ’ing outside with our family, but sometimes it’s hard to get all the children seated in a designated area when it’s time to eat. They are too small for the adult tables and it becomes quite crowded.
Little Tikes Picnic Table
Little Tikes offers a kid-sized picnic table that is a portable solution for parents with the same problem. The Easy Store Picnic Table seats 6 children, which is perfect for us. The table can be used a food or activity table, and we have been using it as both. It features two cup-holders and a condiment/crayon tray. There is a center hole that can also be used to hold up a Little Tikes Marker Umbrella (sold separately). On hot summer days, I would opt for that umbrella for the little ones.
What I love about the Little Tikes picnic table is that you can easily use it indoors and outdoors. It is portable and conveniently folds down so that I can store it away when we’re not using it. The Easy Store Picnic Table also fits perfectly in our van when folded down completely, which is great for when we go to the park.
There are no tools required to assemble the Little Tikes picnic table. All you have to do is lie the tabletop side down and pull the legs of the table outwards to connect the hinge. The first time I did this it was a bit difficult to get the hinge down all the way. But now I fold it in and out with ease. It takes about 3 minutes or less to set up the table, which is very convenient as a parent.
One thing I will mention is that on the tabletop there was a sticker that served as an instructions manual to show you how to set up the table. While I thought that was a good idea, I would suggest that they just include a small manual separately instead because it was so difficult to get the sticker off the table. There are still a few sticker marks that I have been trying to remove, but I’m sure it will fade away overtime. It doesn’t really ruin the functionality of the table, but just something I thought to mention.
We love using the Easy Store Picnic Table outdoors during the day when we are having lunch or a snack. Zach loves to eat his fruits on this table and it’s a great way to encourage younger children to actually sit at a table to eat. By making this a habit at an early stage, I will be able to build a better relationship between my son and his food overtime. Indoors, we use the Easy Store Picnic Table as an activity center. Zach likes to draw on paper with crayons and the table gives him enough room so he is not restricted, and when he’s sitting at a table he is also more focused.
We love how convenient the Easy Store Picnic Table is for families and that it is versatile enough to use indoors and outdoors and is easily storable.

We’ve always wanted one of these, but just haven’t gotten around to getting one. It’s still a bit too hot here but I should look into it in the fall!
