It’s May! And that means it’s time for Nat Geo WILD’s inaugural BARKFEST, a full weekend of programming that celebrates man’s best friend, airing May 15-17.

There are four special dachshunds in my life! We got them all from a rescue and now my family does volunteer work with that rescue. Some of them were mistreated in the past and it’s been a journey getting them to trust us. It’s so rewarding working with rescue dogs!
I hope that this will air again – or they will do it again. Great idea! Cute pictures, too. I’d like to have a dog someday, too!
