Simple Summer Supper with Ore-Ida Grillers

During the warm weather months, we prepare meals without using the oven as often as possible. I cook whatever I can on the stove top, in the microwave, and outside on the gas grill. The kids love having fries with their burgers, so I was thrilled to learn about Ore-Ida Grillers that are cooked right outside on the grill, along with the burgers and hotdogs. I picked up two bags of the new Grillers Golden Thick Cut Potatoes to try out last week, and the family’s reaction to them was overall a positive one.

As soon as the burgers and hotdogs were finished grilling, I popped on both bags of the thick cut potatoes using a pair of tongs. I then closed the lid of the grill and walked away to let them cook for 12 – 15 minutes, turning them once. I think it was a good idea to put them on last, after the grill was already nicely seasoned. It also helped prevent them from sticking. While the potatoes were grilling, I was able to take care of everything else for supper.

All the potatoes needed were a little salt and of course the kids covered them with ketchup. The potatoes turned out nice and crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, just the way I like them. I know that Ore-Ida also sells a Grillers Seasoned variety which my store did not have in stock. I look forward to trying those soon.
