This sock snowman craft has added a touch of whimsy to our holiday decor this year. After doing my other sock snowman craft project, I was inspired to see what else I could come up with. This craft project is a great use of all those scraps leftover from your other holiday craft projects.

Sock Snowman Craft

Basic Construction
For the basic construction you’ll need a large men’s tube sock, 4 styrofoam balls, and 4 rubber bands. Turn the sock inside out, cut off the toe of the tube sock, and secure with a rubber band approximately 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of where you cut. Place a styrofoam ball inside the sock, push it to the end, and snugly secure with a rubber band. Repeat this process until all of the balls are inside, and held in place with rubber bands.

There will be a small amount of the sock leftover. Fold it over to form the hat for the top snowman.

Here’s where you can get creative…

To create each snowman, I used the following:

felt scraps
pom poms
ribbon
artificial holly
foam snowflakes
glue gun or craft glue

Basically use anything you have that will make a cute snowman. Give them scarves hats, bow ties, and faces. I clipped the hat off of a $1 snowman ornament I picked up at the dollar store.

What do you think?
