If you have followed this blog for any length of time, you know that I love my dogs. 2020 has been both a joyful and challenging year for me as a dog parent.
Last Christmas we added our feisty Yorkie and Chihuahua Mix puppy, Bubbles, to the family. Just a few days before Christmas, I was completely surprised when Andy said we were going out to get our new dog. I am such a planner, and he loves dropping the unexpected on me. This was one surprise I was glad for. Bubbles is a perfect fit for our family. I was amazed by how good our senior dog, Winston, adapted to having a puppy in the house. He really took her under his wing.
Bubbles is such a little lover and enjoys a good adventure.
Over the summer we added another new pup, Mr. Sprinkles, to our pack. I had no plans to get another puppy, but when I saw his sweet teddy bear face I could not resist. He is a Yorkie and Maltese Mix and has a LOT of spunk. With all the craziness of 2020, including getting my daughter set up for e-learning, I never really got around to properly introducing Mr. Sprinkles to About a Mom readers.

Then, something horrible happened.
On September 1st we said goodbye to our beloved dog, Winston. He was almost 15-years-old. I knew he wouldn’t be with us much longer, but nothing prepares you for losing a pet. Winston was a quirky little dog and such a camera ham. He could often be seen photobombing here on the blog and @aboutamom on social media. Winnie was with me through a lot over the years and it has been so difficult for me not having him here.
Winston will forever be missed.

iDig from iFetch finishes up my list of top pet products and it’s a good one.
