Do you know what today is? February 13th is Valentine’s Day for Dogs! I thought it would be fun to talk about ways to show your dog love on this oh-so special day… or any day of the year. Earlier this week, I shared a neat Doggy Love Index Infographic from our friends at Big Heart Pet Brand. They are the makers of Milkbone, Pup-peroni, Canine Carry Outs, and Milo’s Kitchen treats. The infographic has some interesting facts about dogs and the people who love them. You’ll want to check that out and enter our Dog Treats Prize Pack giveaway that ends in just a few days. Many thanks to Big Heart Pet Brand for sponsoring another post here on About A Mom.
A dog gives it’s owner unconditional love all year long. Treating your dog to some Milkbone treats for Valentine’s Day is a simple way to give the love back. My family’s pets are well loved.
Doesn’t Winston look fetching in his Milkbone bandana?
It was such a sunny and windy day yesterday. Winston’s favorite kind of weather. He loves running around outside on days like this. I caught up with him as he was taking break by the utility shed door.
Valentine’s Day for Dogs is the perfect time to show your pup a little TLC. Taking your dog for a walk or giving him a bath are great ways to show you care. You can never go wrong with extra belly rubs or a game of fetch either. Of course, treats are a great way to say ‘I love you’ to your pooch.
Speaking of dogs… I had better share a pic of our sweet girl, Lilly.
This last year has been a rough one for Lilly, because of some health issues. She could use a little TLC.
I think her day just got a little sweeter…
How will you show your dog a little extra love this Valentine’s Day?
The good folks at Milk-Bone, Pup-Peroni, Milo’s Kitchen, and Canine Carry Outs have made it easy for you this year with a super cute doggie Valentine’s Day card. Simple print one off at https://www.bigheartpetvalentines.com and give your pups a fun treat.
The cards have a little pocket that is perfect for tucking in a Milkbone dog treat. Your dogs are sure to love you for that!
This year, let’ celebrate man’s best friend by making February 13th Valentine’s Day for Dogs! I encourage you to share a picture of your favorite on Twitter or Instagram today, using the #ValentinesforDogs hashtag. I can’t wait to see your adorable dogs!

This is our first year to have a dog. I guess we need to get on on A Game.
I always try and treat the animals on Valentine’s as well – they are very special as well.. I think Sally would love a Milk Bone 🙂 x
