The official first day of summer is just a few days away, although it feels like summer reached Georgia weeks ago.

Watermelon-Mint Slush

We hit the 100 degree mark in my little town, earlier this week. On hot days like these there’s nothing better than a sweet and refreshing Georgia grown watermelon. My family eats so much watermelon during the summer months, and I have a delicious Watermelon-Mint Slush that I like to make. It’s such a wonderfully refreshing drink that comes together in just a few minutes. I

Did I mention that this drink is incredibly refreshing? Watermelon is the perfect ingredient for juiced and blended drinks. It is naturally sweet, so you don’t have to add much sugar if any at all. Watermelon is mostly water and loaded with good-for-you stuff, making this Watermelon-Mint Slush essentially guilt-free.

This recipe is just 5 ingredients y’all! You can leave the mint out of this drink if you want, but I think it adds a wonderful freshness. I have a fair amount of mint growing in my herb garden right now, and use it whenever I can.

Watermelon-Mint Slush is such a wonderfully refreshing drink that comes together in just a few minutes. Even better when made with Georgia grown watermelon.

  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ¼ cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves, tough stems removed

We just bought a nice juicy watermelon today! We cut it and had half so there is still another half left! Going to try this watermelon slush. We don’t have mint though.
