Ingredients
  

  • 2 cube steaks
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion sliced
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup broth chicken or beef
  • pinch of salt & pepper

Instructions
 

  • Add 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet together with the sliced onions. Cook for 5 minutes over medium-high until the onions have softened.
  • Transfer the cooked onions to a plate and set aside.
  • Meanwhile season the steaks on both sides with onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet on medium-high heat and cook the steaks from both sides for 2 minutes each side. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan add the remaining butter and heat over medium-high. Add the flour and whisk to combine. Add the broth then bring to a boil while whisking constantly.
  • Cook for 1 minute until the gravy thickens.
  • Turn the heat off, then place the steaks and cooked onions in the gravy. Spoon the gravy over the top of the steaks.
  • Serve the steaks with the gravy and cooked onions. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to cook the steak to your desired level of doneness.
