  • Sprinkle the salt and smoked paprika over the chickpeas.
  • With your hands, mix the chickpeas thoroughly, ensuring each one is coated with the oil, salt, and spices.
  • Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven. Allow the chickpeas to roast for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, or until they become golden brown and crispy. Take them out and let them cool slightly.

Notes

Ensure your chickpeas are cooked through by testing one. If it's stodgy, starchy, or chewy in the middle, they will need more time. You want to achieve a golden color and crispy texture.
