Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 mix
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce tomato, onions, pickles, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to ensure even cooking.

  • Place patties on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 155°F for medium.
