Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless sirloin pork roast
  • 1 medium onion minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup sweet and spicy BBQ sauce or your favorite kind
  • 1 tsp agave or honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 12 mini hamburger slider buns, or 6 regular buns

Instructions

  • Place the pork, onions, and broth into the slow cooker. Sprinkle the cumin, chili powder, black pepper, and garlic powder over the top; spread around the meat with your hands or a spatula. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours or high for 5-6 hours.
  • In a small bowl combine the BBQ sauce, agave/honey, and apple cider vinegar; set aside.
  • Remove cooked pork from slow cooker and shred using 2 forks. Remove remaining water from slow cooker, reserve the onions. Add pork and onions back to the slow cooker, then add the sauce mixture; stir to coat the meat.
  • Serve meat in the slider buns and enjoy!
