2/3cupbuttersoftened
3/4cupgranulated sugar
1egg
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1 3/4cupsall-purpose flour
2tablespoonsmatcha green tea powder
1teaspoonbaking powder

Instructions
In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, matcha green tea powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir this into the butter mixture until dough comes together.
Divide the dough in half, form into 2 discs, and wrap each disc in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1 hour. After chilling, let the discs stand at room temperature until soft enough to roll out, about 15 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it out to 1/4-inch thickness. Use a shamrock-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies, re-rolling any scraps. Repeat process with the remaining dough.
Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are light brown. Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheets then transfer to a rack and let them cool completely, approximately 30 minutes.
