Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground chicken extra-lean
  • 3 tablespoons seasoned breadcrumbs plus more for coating
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 cup white onion grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns lightly toasted
  • Sliced avocado optional
  • Sliced red onions optional
  • Sliced tomatoes optional
  • Fresh romaine lettuce leaves optional
  • Condiments for spreading

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs, the Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, egg, salt, garlic, onion, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape each into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Place some breadcrumbs in a shallow dish and coat each patty with the crumbs.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Serve the burgers on the toasted buns with your choice of toppings and condiments.
