Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1 can 15 ounces kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 ounces black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.

  • Stir in onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and red bell pepper, cooking for another 2 minutes.
