This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cracker Barrel for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
Earlier this week, I shared some of the reasons my family keeps going back to Cracker Barrel. We went back just this past Thursday. You may have seen some pictures that I shared on on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. As always, Cracker Barrel did not disappoint. We had a great family dinner.Â
I really enjoy the old fashioned ambiance, down-home cooking and all the great products you can buy in the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.
Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait at my local Cracker Barrel, but I don’t mind at all. It gives me a chance to do some shopping in the Old Country Store. Plus, there are plenty of rocking chairs on the front porch where you can relax. There is even a giant checkers board. My nieces always try to sneak in a couple of games.
Isn’t this fireplace so welcoming?
We all have our favorite dishes. I’m partial to the Old Timers Breakfast and love that the breakfast menu is available anytime of the day. Sometimes I really enjoy having breakfast for dinner. My favorite side is the hash brown casserole. The veggie plate is such a great option. You can choose several of the amazing sides that are available like pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, southern style green beans and more. My son is a meat and potatoes guy and often gets the pot roast with creamy mashed potatoes.
The fresh made food at Cracker Barrel can’t be beat.
My nieces aren’t so set in their ways. On this most recent visit, Maddie ordered a ribeye steak and Becca got a terrific looking salad. I might just have to order that salad the next time my daughter and I stop in for lunch.
You can’t skip dessert at Cracker Barrel. The apple dumplings, berry cobbler and double fudge cola cake are just a few of our favorites. There are always new seasonal desserts that I love to try.
We got our table rather quickly on Thursday night, so my shopping in the Old Country Store had to wait until after dinner. Although they had just had dessert, Becca and Maddie headed right to the candy and other sweet treats. Cracker Barrel has such an amazing selection of old fashioned candy and other products. I always shop there for my Christmas stocking stuffers.
There is a little something for everyone in the Old Country Store. I like shopping for clothing and home decor. In fact, many of my scarves and accessories were purchased at Cracker Barrel’s Retail Store. There are even toys.Â
I don’t know what that thing was Maddie was showing me in the pic below. She sure wanted it though.
After a great meal and a bit of shopping…
Those rockers were just right after a big meal. We are sure to be heading back to Cracker Barrel real soon!
How about you? Do you have a favorite menu item at Cracker Barrel?
We don’t have a Cracker Barrel near us. Sounds like a great place though!
I’ve seen a lot of great reviews about Cracker Barrel. I would definitely try this when I’m in the area.
My husband will choose Cracker Barrel for breakfast every chance he gets!
I have never been to a Cracker Barrel before. I love the decor. It would be fun to go and try the food.
Cracker Barrel looks like a fun place to go with the family. I will have to go the next time we are near one.
I love that fireplace! What a cozy area to enjoy a nice fire. I love shopping at cracker barrel
I like to stop at Cracker Barrel when we travel. They have great food, a fun store, and lots to do while waiting.
I haven’t been to Cracker barrel, I am probably one of the only people who haven’t . I hear some great things about the food and the atmosphere though.
When I lived in Mississippi there was a Cracker Barrel on almost every corner. Yummy deliciousness everywhere you went.
