If you’ve never had an Avocado Smoothie, you have no idea what a heavenly concoction you’re missing.

The first time I had an avocado smoothie, I was like, “Where has this been my entire life?” I mean, it’s not your average smoothie.
Most people are sipping on banana smoothies or berry smoothies, but an avocado smoothie is just luscious, creamy sweetness in a glass. You have to taste this heavenly concoction to believe it.
Of course, an avocado really is a fruit, after all, which is why it works well in a smoothie, bringing a hefty dose of creamy texture to vanilla yogurt, sweet honey, milk, and a few ice cubes, to keep it icy cold.
Avocados are packed with nutrients, including omega-3 fatty acids. Sure, they’re green, but once you taste them, you’ll come to look forward to this refreshing mixture in your glass, just waiting for you to pick it up.

If You Think Kids Won’t Like Avocado Smoothies, You’re Wrong!
So, I’m still cooking for Chloe and Zoe, identical twins, aged three.
And now that I’ve gotten more comfortable with them, I knew I could try to introduce this suspiciously green concoction to even wee, very diva-esque little three-year-olds. It was just how to go about it that was the trick…
So, I made a batch of three and stood a-sipping on mine as they watched me toss back my head and go “MMMMMM…. oh wow, this is even better than I thought it would be. My goodness, this is as yummy as a strawberry milkshake.”
Suddenly, Chloe says, “What’s that stuff you’re drinking. It looks yucky.”
“Well, being grown-up does have its advantages ….” I said, with an air of sweet mystery.
“What!?! We can’t have one?” Zoe wailed.
“Oh, well, sure, I’ve got enough for all of us. How about I add a dollop of whipped cream on top, too?”
And with that, I had two wee girls sipping avocado smoothies with a little polka-dotted straw and whipped cream on top, acting very adult.
Avocado smoothies: They’re too delicious not to be loved by kids of any age.

FAQs & Tips
How Do I Store Leftovers?
You can store avocado smoothie leftovers in the fridge for 1 day only. To prevent browning as much as possible (as it happens pretty fast), consider adding a squeeze of lime or lemon juice to your smoothie. Also, wrap the top of your pitcher or glass tightly with plastic wrap. And believe it or not, avocado smoothies freeze better than they refrigerate, as do just mashed avocados. You can freeze these up to 2 weeks.
Great Add-Ins For Avocado Smoothies
A lot of people love a squeeze of lime juice in an avocado smoothie. It brings a rich, tangy blast of flavor. Other great add-ins are bananas, strawberries or raspberries. Each one brings even more flavor to this yummy smoothie.
Are These Avocado Smoothies Vegan?
These avocado smoothies can be made vegan by simply using almond milk in place of the whole milk, plant-based vanilla yogurt instead of dairy, and replacing the honey with maple syrup, which tastes lovely in these.

When cooking for little ones, I design a party of a lunch around them that makes wee ones giggle with glee, like these Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. Kids go crazy for them. Next, this sweet, crunchy, delicious Strawberry Jell-O Pretzel Salad, which brings a lot of color and that welcome crunch of the pretzels.
