Young girls are full of hopes and dreams and heartfelt wishes. Wishes are a powerful thing. As parents, and adults, we want to make sure that we work hard to encourage young girls. We want to make sure that we provide exceptionally positive examples that inspire tweens to follow their dreams. Disney Star Darlings books for girls, which launched in the Fall of 2015, is perfect for helping girls answer the question of where wishes come from and to help them encourage and help each other to fulfill their heartfelt wishes.
Here’s a closer look at Disney’s new series for girls, Star Darlings. Many thanks to Disney Press for sponsoring this post and providing a wonderful giveaway for About a Mom readers.
Curling up with a good book is such a wonderful wintertime activity. So far this winter, we’ve had unseasonably warm weather which has given us a few extra weeks to enjoy the outdoors. I’m so glad we had some of these books during winter break.
Just like real girls, the Star Darlings have their own wishes and dreams. They pursues them with full force and determination, just like we all hope that our own daughter do. Together, this diverse array of star-charmed girls encourage and help each other each their goals.
The “Star Darlings” are experienced through books for ages Ages 8-12, dolls, music and apparel, along with a mobile app and animated shorts. These girls offer a complete lifestyle experience that encourages tweens to be individuals and make positive choices.
The series wants to make sure that girls know that anything they dream is possible. The series currently features 5 books and A Wisher’s Guide to Starland.
Book 1: Sage and the Journey to Wishworld
Book 2: Libby and the Class Election
Book 3: Leona’s Unlucky Mission
Book 4: Scarlet Discovers True Strength
Book 5: Vega and the Fashion Disaster
Star Darlings Book Series is available at Justice, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indiebound, Disney, Indigo and iBooks. Dolls and shirts are available at DisneyStore.com.
Just like real girls, each Star Darling has her own wish that she pursues with full force and determination—and the help of her friends. These shared journeys and experiences provide exceptionally positive examples to inspire tweens to follow their dreams, and are experienced through books, dolls, music and apparel, along with a mobile app and animated shorts.
Disney “Star Darlings” offers an innovative and unparalleled lifestyle experience that encourages tweens to harness the power of their individuality, highlights the power of making positive choices, and shows that they can make anything possible.
These girls have some serious training. From as far back as they can remember, Starlings have granted wishes for Earthlings. There is a major crisis coming and soon the 12 unique girls from the Starling Academy are chosen to be the the first to venture to Earth. Despite their inexperience, the girls are full of courage, ingenuity and a lot of humor, as they guide Wishers to find happiness and fulfillment as they embark on the most magical adventures of their lives.
At the beginning a new year we find ourselves thinking about a lot about our goals, dreams and wishes for the year ahead. I feel like my family has learned about this inspiring book series at the perfect time. The Star Darlings series is all about the power of wishes. My family wishes for good health and more quality family time. We wish for our good friend, Linda, to beat cancer. Her husband and four children really need her. I need her too.
What are your family’s wishes for 2016?
If you could grant a wish to anyone, who would it be for and what would it be?
