This Double Chocolate Treasure Recipe is absolutely perfect. It is so simple to make. The combination of chocolate and old fashion oats is the best you will ever taste. These cookies are sure to be a Christmas classic or whenever you want a s truly amazing cookie.

Can These be Made with Milk Chocolate Instead?

I like semi sweet because it keeps the sweetness at a good level. You can certainly use milk chocolate or dark chocolate if you prefer.

Ingredients:

  • One 12 oz package (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2: In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt 1 cup chocolate pieces. Stir until smooth; cool slightly.
