Skills Children Can Learn from Scavenger Hunts
Scavenger hunts help boost observation skills, along with developing early learning skills such as problem-solving, creativity, and even collaboration if they’re doing the activity with a sibling or friend. Scavenger hunts are a terrific way to practice these skills in a fun, relaxed, and natural way.
This beach scavenger hunt printable is perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and other young kids since it’s simple and isn’t too long. Older kids will have fun with this beach activity too!
How a Scavenger Hunt Works
To use, simply download and print the Beach Day Scavenger Hunt. The link is located at the bottom of this page.
Place it in a Clear Protective Plastic Sleeve or better yet laminate it. If you download a lot of printables, I recommend investing in a laminator so you can use printables like this one over and over again. I purchased this laminating machine from Amazon. It’s affordable and gets the job done.
When you get to the beach, try to locate as many of the items listed and/or pictured on the scavenger hunt sheet. As you locate each item, circle it or mark an X through it. Find as many items as you can.
If you have more than one child, you can make a game of it and see who can complete the scavenger hunt the soonest.
Bring your scavenger hunt, along with a marker or crayon to the beach and keep your eyes peeled.
This free Beach Scavenger Hunt Printable is for personal use only. You’re welcome to print it as many times as you like for both home and classroom use. If family, friends, or co-workers would like their own scavenger hunt, please send them to this post where they can download the files for themselves. Just please don’t distribute the download files. Thank you!
