Game Day Tailgating Ideas with Garcia Brand

Whether you are rooting for the hometown team or celebrating the Super Bowl, I have some fun and delicious game day tailgating ideas to share with you. I recently partnered with Garcia Brand to create a Garcia Brand Smoked Beef Sausage recipe for Walmart.com. The Grilled Sausage Tacos with Fresh Salsa and Chili Lime Mayo are so full of flavor and incredibly delicious. It’s the perfect game day and tailgating recipe, so be you’ll want to be sure to check it out! I’m excited to team up with them again to share these game day tips and ideas with you.

I like to keep it simple on game day, so I can sit back enjoy the game with family and friends. Keeping it simple doesn’t mean you have to give up good food or fun. Just the opposite actually.

Keep it simple and delicious by heading over to Walmart to pick up some Garcia Brand Smoked Beef Sausage and a variety of fixings. Fire up the grill and you’ll be well on your way to a successful game day tailgating party.

Tip: If you’re tailgating outdoors, a folding plastic table covered with a throw is perfect for serving food.

Doesn’t that look great?

Here’s a tip for cooking your sausage. Cut a slit down the center of the sausage to ensure that it heats through evenly. It also provides the perfect spot for spooning (or piling) on the toppings!

When packing up the cooler, I like to put all of the toppings and sides into stackable containers. I’m able to fit a lot more into the cooler that way and know everything will stay fresh.

Garcia Brand Smoked Beef Sausage is delicious all on it’s own, but I still like to have a variety of toppings available like relish, cheese, diced onion, diced avocado,  and salsa.

It’s mustard and relish for me. Nom nom nom.

The night before the big game I like to whip up a batch of my 15-minute chili. It’s the perfect side or topping for Garcia Brand Smoked Beef Sausage. Just add a little diced onion and cheese, and you’re all set.

Be sure to have plenty of game time munchies available. Have you ever noticed that watching football makes you hungry? Or is it just me?

Fill up brown paper lunch bags with pretzels, popcorn and boiled peanuts for a grab-and-go snacking. Plus, you get the added bonus of easy cleanup. Score!

I could eat a whole bag of boiled peanuts all by myself!

Many thanks to the Garcia Brand for sponsoring today’s tailgating tips post. Dutch Packing Co. is a family owned and family operated company which utilizes high quality products and the freshest ingredients to create the most flavorful sausages. A dream that became a reality for Mr. Raul Rodriguez, a Cuban native that immigrated to the United States and devoted his life to making this company successful and his workers part of his family. I sure am glad that Garcia Brand has found it’s way into Walmart stores. Be sure to check out the Garcia Brand recipe page on Walmart.com.

I’d love for you to leave a comment below and share some of your game day and tailgating tips!

I love boiled peanuts too! Thank you for these suggestions. They are easy to prepare and cleaning up would not be much of an issue.
