Technology has found it’s way to practically every nook and cranny of our lives, so why should the garden be any different? The weather is warming up and it’s time to start planning our gardens. I usually just do a patio herb garden, but this year I plan to expand the garden outdoors. Being a little out of my element when it comes to gardening, I am turning to gardening apps for a little guidance. A few years ago I might have driven to the library and lugged home a stack of gardening books, but instead I’ll be embracing technology and using some handy gardening apps.
Here are several gardening apps for Windows 8 and 8.1 users that seem rather useful:

What are your favorite Windows 8 apps for Spring?
Disclosure: I am a Windows Champions Blogger for 2014. As part of my participation in the program I will have the opportunity to try out new products and promotions.
There certainly is an app for everything these days. These look useful – I never know what plants I can and should plant for my area – I hope one of these can tell me that!
I love this! I’m going to download it right now. I though Spring was finally here but woke up to more snow this morning! Soon though I can start planting.
I have such a black thumb that my phone would probably explode if I used a gardening app.
I’ll send this to my mother who will love it and use it and grow amazing things. 🙂
Goodness knows I need all the help I can get when it comes to gardening!!! These look like really cool apps!
I still need to upgrade to Windows 8. I am happy to see that there are lots of great apps
I need to search and see what kind of gardening apps are out there for the iPhone.

This is so cool, my mother would really enjoy this. I don’t have a green thumb but I’m green with envy with my mothers garden
