Technology has found it’s way to practically every nook and cranny of our lives, so why should the garden be any different? The weather is warming up and it’s time to start planning our gardens. I usually just do a patio herb garden, but this year I plan to expand the garden outdoors. Being a little out of my element when it comes to gardening, I am turning to gardening apps for a little guidance. A few years ago I might have driven to the library and lugged home a stack of gardening books, but instead I’ll be embracing technology and using some handy gardening apps.
Here are several gardening apps for Windows 8 and 8.1 users that seem rather useful:
Gardener’s Calendar (FREE)

There are so many great free apps to choose from! I think one of the most convenient things about using a gardening app is that you can easily bring the app outdoors on your Windows 8 phone or tablet. I’m looking forward to using some these apps to help my garden grow.

I am in desperate need of the Garden Guardian app so I can see what type of plants will flourish in our desert climate.
I don’t have Windows 8 but some of these apps would be really helpful. Maybe I should consider upgrading my operating system.
Windows 8 really has gotten to be a great resource.

That’s one kind of app I haven’t explored yet. But then again, I’m a super kindergartner when it comes to gardening.
They really do have an app for everything. I don’t have Windows 8, but I’ll have to check out what kind of gardening apps my Android has.
I don’t have Windows 8, my daughter does on her laptop. I’d love gardening apps. I have one that I sort of use on my iPhone but that is about it.
I am not a planter or garnder of any kind. I have no green thumb at all, but this would be great for those who do that kind of stuff.
