I am such a sentimental fool. You know the type. I’m the person who saved the movie tickets from that very special first date, and then the first lock of hair from her boy’s first haircut, and has a big box containing every holiday card that has ever been sent to her. It’s the little thing that mean a lot to me. Capturing and preserving family memories is so important. Sadly, when I was a very young Mom many years ago, we didn’t have a video camera. It wasn’t until years later that I was able to capture those most special of moments on video and those clips are so important to me. I have so many old photographs that are really starting to show their age, and need to get them on digital soon before it’s too late.

Gosh, I feel old lol
I was just speaking with someone tonight about how many of my favorite childhood and undergrad moments could have benefitted from our current digital age. Sure, we had video cameras, but they weren’t always with us. There were no camera phones and the like… I am grateful that I can at least quickly save moments of my son’s childhood.

I’d love to preserve early memories when we were kids along with my parents and grandmom.
I don’t own any old videos because we didn’t have a VCR bak when I was young (which is in the ’90s so yeah, I’m old-fashioned). I don’t care much for old memories really, although I love that I sitll own my high school journals.
