Don’t you just love the festivities of the holiday season? My house is decorated from top to bottom with lights, ornaments and lots of snowmen. I try to incorporate strings of lights into all of my decorations, even my table centerpieces. I’m so excited to have friends and family over to celebrate the season.

No holiday party is complete without a sweet treat. Delicious OREO cookies on a stick, dipped in chocolate, and decorated with festive sprinkles are just what you need. These Holiday OREO Cookie Pops are perfect for both your holiday party and gift giving. You’re going to love how simple these are to make.

In addition to the OREO Cookie Pops recipe, I have some fun ideas for displaying and serving our cookie pops. When hosting a holiday party, I think the presentation is just as important as the food itself.

Inspiration for these Holiday OREO Cookie Pops come from the “Bring Home The Holidays With The Ultimate Party Planner” that’s packed with fresh ideas and savings.

What You Need:

12 OREO Cookies
8 oz. semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
1 tsp. oil

Make It:

Insert wooden pop stick into filling in center of each cookie; place on parchment covered baking sheet. Freeze 10 min.

Mix melted chocolate and oil in small bowl until blended. Dip cookies, one at a time, in chocolate mixture, turning to evenly coat both sides of each cookie. Return to baking sheet. Decorate as desired.

Refrigerate 30 min. or until chocolate coating is firm.

Tip: If your wooden pop stick doesn’t feel secure, you can dip the end of the stick into some melted candy coating wafers or prepared frosting, before inserting into the cookie. This will firmly secure it in place.

I decorated my OREO Cookie Pops with a festive Christmas tree design and absolutely love how they turned out.

To decorate with the Christmas Tree…

You’ll need 1/4 cup of melted green candy coating wafers, rainbow sprinkles, star sprinkles.

Put the candy into a baggie and place the baggie into a bowl of HOT water to melt. Massage the bag to aide in melting.

Dry off the bag and snip a very small corner off. Pipe a zig-zag pattern starting from the bottom and work your way up. Sprinkle and decorate and set aside to dry. Do these one at a time and work quickly. The candy coating dries quickly, and you want to get the sprinkles on before it hardens.

Tip: To give these as gifts you will need some clear pops favor bags and some ribbon. Cover each OREO Cookie Pop with a bag, then seal it closed by tying a simple bow with the ribbon.

How to Make an OREO Cookie Pop Holder

You can easily make a cookie pop holder with a piece of styrofoam and some wrapping paper. A piece of styrofoam that measures 10×15 inches that is 1-inch thick perfectly holds 12-16 cookie pops. Begin by cutting your piece of styrofoam to size. Then wrap it up like a gift with some holiday wrapping paper. Use the sharp end of a skewer to poke holes into the foam, and a ruler to evenly space the holes. Easy peasy.
