Who doesn’t love a peppermint cupcake? I have the perfect recipe.

A holiday peppermint cupcake with white frosting, crushed candy canes, and red and green sprinkles.

I love Christmas. I love everything about it. Especially I love the holiday parties. Holiday parties are a great time to get together with loved one, friends and families, and have fun together. Whenever we go to a Christmas party I always want to bring a dessert. It is nice to share and I have the best peppermint cupcake recipe that is so simple to make. It can be made from a box mix but taste so good, no one will ever know.

I love making desserts to bring to get togethers but sometimes I am short on time or short on supplies. I wanted to find something that I can take to a holiday get together but that didn’t take a lot of time or money. These peppermint cupcakes are perfect because the peppermint taste reminds everyone of Christmas while the box mix makes them ready with little time and little ingredients.

Tips for making my simple peppermint cupcake recipe

  • I tend to keep cake mix on hand. It is great for those last minute desserts.
  • Instead of using disposable cupcake liners, use a silicone cupcake pan. It saves money and trash in the landfill.
  • I love to order as much as possible online. Amazon delivers pantry groceries, so you can have most of the things needed delivered straight to your door.

Ingredients

  • 6 chocolate cupcakes
  • White Cupcake Icing Candy
  • Canes Holiday Sprinkles
  • 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract
Looking for a simple peppermint cupcake recipe to take to your next holiday get together? These peppermint cupcakes are a fun Christmas treat.

Directions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Line a 12 cup cupcake pan with liners or use a silicone cupcake pan.

Step 3: Prepare the cake mix according to directions. Add in the peppermint extract. Pour into the cupcake pan.

Step 4: Bake for 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Step 5: Let cool.

Step 6: You can use this Betty Crocker Cupcake Frosting for easy piping or regular white frosting. Pipe the white frosting onto the cupcakes.

Step 7: Sprinkle the holiday sprinkles on top of the cupcakes.

Step 8: Put candy canes into a ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin or the bottom of a glass cup.

Step 9: Add the crushed candy canes on top of the cupcakes.

I love peppermint and have a big bottle of peppermint extract that I put on so many things, including myself! I love that you incorporated it into the icing and even put candy canes in it.

I need to order some of those silicone liners too. I always forget the disposable ones so it would be nice to be prepared.
