Fruit snacks have always been a favorite treat in our house! We go through a box of fruit snacks pretty quickly, so it’s nice that I can whip up a batch of homemade jello fruit snacks in a matter of minutes. I got the inspiration for this from Pursuit of Savings and was thrilled to find a use for my jelly bean molds. Just 3 ingredients make this summer treat that your kids will love! I used a jello jelly bean mold for this batch, but any jello or candy mold will work fine. Unlike jello jigglers, these come out much softer like a fruit snack.
Homemade Jello Fruit Snacks
Ingredients
1 (3 oz) box gelatin, any flavor
2 (.25 oz) envelopes unflavored gelatin
1/3 cup water
Method
Lightly spray jello mold with cooking spray. In a small saucepan, sprinkle jello over water. Heat over medium heat and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved. Pour into molds and allow to sit for approximately 20 minutes, or until firm. Enjoy!
I guarantee that your kids will gobble these fruit snacks up!
No refrigeration needed.

OMG I love this!! I have to make these… pinned!
Very cool. I never even thought about making these snacks at home. My child loves fruit snacks. We will definitely be trying this.
So cool!! Where did find the mold? I have never seen that one before.
Any idea about substitute sugarfree jello? I get concerned b/c the weight is so much less!
I have used sugar free jello and it works just fine. I got this particular jelly bean mold years ago by mail order, but have seen them recently being sold on eBay. Any candy mold would work fine though.
could you do this same thing on waxed paper to make fruit rollups?
I haven’t tried that Dawn, but I think it would probably work. Let us know how they turn out if you make it!
Have to say I saw jello worms the other day – they secured a bunch of straws together in a glass – and poured the jello mixture into the straws (haven’t tried it but I am sure you would need something to rest the straws in that wouldn’t let the jello out) – but then they ran quickly under warm water to loosen jello and hada plate of jello worms 🙂 LOL
Those sound fun! Might have to try that next!
Thanks for the recipe!
I made these this morning but instead of 2 packets of unflavored gelatin I only used one and they turned out great!! I love fruit snacks!!
Thanks for sharing that! I’ll try them with one and save the extra pack for next time!
I am a little curious what they would be life with the 2nd packet? I might to try it & see what the difference is
The mold is neat where can you get one?
I purchased mine through mail order a few years ago, but have since seen them sold on eBay.
Hai
can you tell me where can i get the mauled tray please
I don’t know if the one I have is still available from Jello, but I spotted some very similar jelly bean molds on Amazon.
Have you tried using only one pack of the unflavored gelatin?
