When asked to participate in the Listerine 21 Day Challenge, I didn’t hesitate to answer yes. Good oral healthcare for my family is important to me, but I must admit there are some areas where we can improve. We are all pretty good about brushing at least twice a day, but don’t floss or rinse regularly. I must admit that the kids take better care of their teeth than I do, thanks in part to constant harping from the adults in their lives. You know that old saying “Do as I say, not as I do.”? Well that doesn’t go over so well in my house, so I need to do a better job of leading by example when it comes to making oral health a priority.
Why should you participate in the Listerine 21 Day Challenge? Well, it’s quite simple actually. Commit to making oral health a priority for your family through just one additional minute of effort by brushing, flossing, and swishing with LISTERINE® ULTRACLEAN® twice a day.
Did you know brushing alone misses 75% of your mouth? That’s right – and believe it or not, even if you brush twice a day, you’re likely missing a majority of your mouth, leaving plenty of room for germs to grow. But there is an answer… By using Listerine® Antiseptic mouthwash twice a day for 30 seconds, you can clean virtually 100 percent of your mouth. In fact, you can get:
– Up to 5 times healther gums in 2 weeks
– Up to 9 times healthier gums in 4 weeks
There’s another great reason why you should join my family in the Listerine 21 Day Challenge. While improving your oral care is reason enough to join the challenge, when you visit Listerine on Facebook and sign up for the challenge the LISTERINE® Brand will make a contribution to help Oral Health America’s Smiles Across America® program toward their goal of connecting 210,000 children with needed oral health services in 2013! There is even a fun reminder app in which you can adopt a “pet mouth” to help keep your family on track during the challenge.
Listerine sent my family a box of oral health products to get us started on the challenge, but these are all products that you can pick up at your local supermarket or drug store. I’m so excited for my family to have healthier smiles, in as little as 21 days of brushing, flossing, and rinsing twice daily.
Will you be taking the Listerine 21 Day Challenge with us? I’ll let you know how my family did in a few weeks!
Disclosure: I received products from Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. and The Motherhood as part of my participation in the LISTERINE® 21 Day Challenge. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are my own.

I’ve been using Listerine for years. Definitely recommend it.
What a great challenge. I think my family needs to join this.
Love Listerine! That’s the mouthwash I use every morning 🙂
I have to admit that mouthwash is an area of oral care that I slip up in a lot. I love the listerine brand though, their flavors are so refreshing 🙂
Great challenge! I’m already a loyal twice-a-day Listerine user.
My husband is obsessed with his oral hygiene routine. And mouthwash plays a large role in it. I’ll have to see if he’s interested in joining me with this challenge.
Such a great challenge.
I did this last year and although I was already using the trio of products, I wasn’t doing it twice a day (for the rinse and the floss) but it helped me add that as a habit!
I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about the Listerine Challenge all over the internet but didn’t really know what it was about. I’m a stickler when it comes to oral care – I brush 3+ times per day, floss, use Listerine every day, etc. My teens, on the other hand, (especially my boys) could really use some work on their oral care routine. It’s a constant battle for me to try and get my 12 and 14 yr. old sons to floss.
Great challenge for sure. Listerine is the best it’s the only thing my husband will use and my kids love the ones made just for them.
