Need a simple way to spiff up your dining room table this fall? These sweet knitted napkin rings are a simple project, and perfect for your fall place settings. I think this would be a great hostess gift!
Materials Needed:
Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand Yarn
2 Green Buttons
Size US 4 Knitting Needles
Sewing Needle
Grey Thread
Abbreviations:
STS = Stitches
K = Knit
P = Purl
WYIF = With Yarn In Front
WYIB = With Yarn In Back
CO = Cast On
BO = Bind Off
Directions:
CO 11 sts
Row 1: K1, *slip 1 WYIF, K1; repeat from * to end.
Row 2: K1, P1, *slip 1 WYIB, P1; repeat from * to last stitch, K1
Repeat these rows until your piece measures 6 1/2″ long, and then BO.
Have the opposite ends of your piece meet each other, and then slightly overlap the ends.
With your sewing needle & grey thread, sew end pieces together securely.
After you have sewn your ends together, it’s time to sew on the buttons! You can use a variety of different colors, but I love how the green contrasts with the grey color.
Be sure to space your buttons first before securing them with your sewing needle and grey thread.
Clean up any loose threads with scissors, and you’re all set to wow your guests at your next dinner party or luncheon that you plan to host!
What a great fall inspired craft. I’m not much of a knitter but I’d like to try this one.
How cute and rustic, love it!
Really cute! Love it!
Oh man I wish I wasn’t so horrible at knitting…this would be on my craft list in a heartbeat.
This is a great way to dress up the fall table setting! Too cute!
That is really cute! Too bad I don’t know how to sew. ~lol~
So very cute, but I’ll have to order a set from you. I’m simply not capable of that workmanship.
Adorable! I would love them in a ton of different colors on the table. I think the variety of colors would make them a little funky.
Cute! I have been seriously considering switching to cloth napkins.
Very cute. I haven’t picked up a pair of knitting needles in a long time. This makes me want to knit again!
