My grandchildren are always complaining that they don’t have any money, so I often try to come up with some additional chores they can do to earn a few extra dollars. This time of the year is the perfect chance for them to make some money, with the school year winding down and all of the yard work that is needed. Earlier this week my grandson spent the afternoon picking up pine cones and sticks from the latest storms that came through.

It’s hard to believe that Mother’s Day is just a week from today, and the last thing I want is for the kids to spend their hard earned money on gifts for me. Craft projects are such a great way for the kids to give meaningful gifts, so we decided to make a simple Egg Carton Flower Bouquet. This is Mother’s Day craft for kids is such a fun way to celebrate spring!

Egg Carton Flower Bouquet Craft for Kids

Here’s What You’ll Need:
egg carton
scissors
craft paint
paint brushes
pipe cleaners
craft beads

Directions:
1. Using the scissors, separate the individual cups from the egg carton (small kids will need help with this). While you have the scissors out, go ahead and poke a small hole in the bottom of each cup. This will be for the pipe cleaner.

2. Paint each egg cup and allow to dry completely.

3. For the stem, push a pipe cleaner up through the hole you made in the bottom of the cup. Inside the cup, place a small bead over the pipe cleaner. Make a knot in the end of the stem so it won’t move.
