I grew up in Florida, so you would think I would be able to tolerate the Georgia heat. Yet, it’s mid July and I’m already dreaming of Fall weather. So what does a girl do to keep cool on a hot summer’s day? Eat popsicles, of course. Ice pops aren’t just for kids, especially these pretty multi striped popsicles. These homemade popsicles are lovely enough even to serve at your next party.
This recipe for multi stiped popsicles is easy to make and much cheaper than buying popsicles from the grocery store. Plus, they are much prettier than any ice pops that come out of a box. These little cuties pack a lot of great flavor!
Here’s to keeping cool this summer!
Multi Striped Popsicles
Ingredients:
Small Paper Dixie Cups
Wooden Craft Sticks
Grape Flavored Powerade (Purple)
Polar Blast Hawaiian Punch (Blue)
Green Berry Rush Hawaiian Punch (Green)
Country Time Lemonade *Yellow)
Directions:
Pour a layer of Grape Powerade into the bottom of a Dixie cup. You will use one cup for each popsicle.
Put in the freezer for about 30 minutes, until the layer has started to freeze, but isn’t quite solid. Remove from freezer and insert wooden craft sticks.
Return to freezer and freeze until layer is solid.
Add a layer of Blue Hawaiian Punch. Put in freezer until frozen solid. Time will depend on the thickness of the layer.
Add a layer layer of Green Hawaiian Punch and freeze until solid. Add a layer of lemonade as the final layer and freeze until solid.
Serve immediately! These popsicles are perfect for a hot summer day! They are so fun and colorful!
