Sometimes only an ice cold fruit smoothie will do, especially on hot summer days.

This refreshing 3-ingredient Pineapple Kiwi Smoothie is a great way to get energized any time of the day. Frozen pineapple chunks, kiwi and orange juice. It's simple summer goodness.

This refreshing 3-ingredient Pineapple Kiwi Smoothie is a great way to get energized any time of the day. Frozen pineapple chunks, kiwi and orange juice. It’s simple summer goodness.

This Pineapple Kiwi Smoothie comes together in a matter of minutes. I love whipping one of these up to take on the road. Smoothies are such a great way to use up fruit that is soon to be overly ripe. Frozen fruit is another great option.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of chopped pineapple (frozen is fine)
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and chopped
  • Juice from 3 oranges

Instructions:

Step 1: Blend everything in blender until smooth., adding a few cubes of ice if you like. Drink right away and enjoy. If your fruit isn’t quite sweet enough, a bit of honey will do the trick. It’s simple summer goodness.

If you are struggling to get enough fruit into your family’s diet, these types of smoothies are a great choice. Kids feel like they are getting a treat when you know that it is a healthy choice.

I love using fresh fruit in a smoothie recipe. This smoothie recipe is a nice change of pace for breakfast or a snack. Use fresh or frozen fruit.
