Sweet, energizing pineapple takes center stage in these creamy banana-infused Pineapple Smoothies.

Thank God for smoothies. They are the answer, after all, to so many moms’ prayers.

Running late for work and starving? Smoothie! Got to get something nutritious in the kids but running late for school? Smoothie! Kids getting tired of the same old milk or juice at breakfast? Smoothie!

See, the word “smoothie” is not only a word kids just love to say, it’s also one drink they love to slurp down—quietly, too.

I mean, only a truly magical concoction like this possesses the kind of power where you simply whir it in a blender for maybe two minutes, pop a straw in it, hand the smoothie to said kids, and get only smiles and quiet nods of happiness in return.

Like I said, magic.

Why everyone will love these pineapple smoothies

Smoothies are a great way to sneak lots of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants into your kids’ food without them even knowing it—all through the power of fruit!

Pineapples, after all, bring more wholesome, sweet fruit sweetness to a recipe than just about any other fruit. In fact, sweetness-wise, pineapple is one of our sweetest fruits.

By the time you combine both pineapple chunks and pineapple juice with that deeply luscious flavor of plain Greek yogurt and the wholesome flavor of bananas, you’ll find you won’t need sugar or honey at all. This smoothie is yummily (that should be a word, so let’s make it one, okay?) sweet as is!

Ingredients for Pineapple Smoothie Recipe: whole pineapple, pineapple chunks, pineapple juice, banana slices, and plain Greek yogurt.

How do I store leftovers?

Smoothies will keep well in the refrigerator if you’ve made a whole pitcher and need to refrigerate them. Just seal that pitcher with tightly sealed plastic wrap and you can enjoy these for up to 2 or 3 days. You may need to re-whir these in the blender a bit to get them all creamy again.

Believe it or not, unlike milkshakes, you can freeze smoothies up to 3 months in a freezer-safe container. Again, whir these in a blender to reconstitute. Some people like to freeze smoothies in ice cube trays and simply dump all the cubes into a blender and boom! You’ve got a smoothie! You’ll want to slide that ice cube tray in a gallon freezer bag to prevent freezer burn, mind you.

Serving suggestions

Whether for breakfast or dessert, these yummy pineapple smoothies go great with these Banana Split Crêpes, which I love to serve with this amazing Breakfast Casserole to round out this meal deliciously and get some savory protein on the table.

If you love pineapple smoothies, then try this cooling, luscious Pineapple-Kiwi Smoothie. Or, for one of the most delicious smoothies in the world, try these deliriously delicious Caramel-Peanut-Butter-Banana Smoothies.
