Sometimes simple is best, especially when it turns out looking like you put a lot of time and effort into it. A simple antipasto hummus platter is perfect for a light meal or entertaining. This is how I like to eat on the weekends. Head to the farmer’s market in the morning, grab some Sabra hummus from Walmart, and throw this platter together. Nosh on it all afternoon.

As someone who only eats meat a couple times per week, hummus is my go-to food of choice for adding protein to meals. We go through an insane amount of Sabra hummus in a week. I grab one or two tubs each time I’m in the deli section of my local Walmart. I’m bad about late night snacking, and find that some hummus and fresh veggies satisfies my hunger without the guilt. It’s a better-for-you snack that I can feel good about.

I tried making my own hummus once and found I didn’t like it as much as Sabra. Not to mention, who has time for all of that?

For part of the year, my town has a wonderful farmer’s market on Saturday mornings. I always buy way too many vegetables. This simple antipasto hummus platter is the perfect way to use up a lot of those veggies. However, if I have too much going on Saturday morning I’ll skip the farmer’s market all-together and head straight to Walmart for some Sabra and fresh vegetables. I do like the convenience of having everything in one place.

When putting a platter like this together I try to have a variety of color and texture. Some of my favorite vegetables to dip in hummus are celery, baby carrots, sliced cucumber, and red pepper cut into sticks. If I can get small heirloom tomatoes, I add them too. YUM. In addition to the vegetables, you can add things like marinated artichoke hearts, olives, crackers, cheese, and deli meats like salami. I went all out with this particular platter, but often just pair the hummus with a few seasonal vegetables.

How much flavor can we pack into one plate? A LOT.

There’s still some warm weather days ahead, and this hummus platter is perfect for summer entertaining.

I LOVE Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. I just bought a huge container and we’ve gobbled most of it up. It’s that good!

I’m glad we’re not the only ones who eat a ton of Sabra hummus, lol. We go through their biggest tubs so fast.

What a great idea to get the veggies fresh from the farmer’s market. I love hitting the one up in my area as often as possible. This sounds like a delicious snack.

This right here is one of my favorite summer dinners. I know a lot of people think of it as a snack, but it makes a great couples dinner when you don’t want to cook. Netflix, wine, and this and you have a great date night in.

We love hummus. I never thought of having it as part of an antipasto platter. This is so nice, and Sabra is so good! I want to try it soon.

This looks like a delicious platter. I tried Hummus once and wasn’t a big fan of it though.
