Are you ready for your Thanksgiving celebration? There is so much that goes into planning a Thanksgiving dinner. Whether you are planning for a large family gatherings or an intimate affair, some advance planning will make it easier for you to relax and enjoy spending time with friends and family. I have some Thanksgiving entertaining tips and an amazing recipe for Sweet Onion Dip to share with you.

TIP: I learned a long time ago the importance of having plenty of snacks available to my family and guests, while I’m busy in the kitchen cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Preparing a turkey dinner with all the fixins takes time. The last thing you want is a hungry mob in the kitchen, sticking their fingers in your mashed potatoes. Setting up a simple snack table will satisfy those growling bellies.

Inspiration for this Thanksgiving snack table come from the “Bring Home The Holidays With The Ultimate Party Planner” that’s packed with fresh ideas and savings.

NABISCO provided me with a Sweet Onion Dip recipe to make and serve with WHEAT THINS Toasted Pita Original Oven Baked Crackers. Have you tried these crackers? They are SO GOOD.

No party is complete without a RITZ Crackers cheese plate. Chips and dip is another staple at my parties. I’m a sucker for and a good onion dip and this recipe from Nabisco is fantastic. Just don’t make the mistake of serving this dip with chips. Be sure to head to Publix and pick up a couple bags of WHEAT THINS Toasted Pita Original Oven Baked Crackers. They have such a wonderful flavor and crunch, and they hold up to the dip.

Plus, they are baked not fried which means you can eat another cookie or two. That’s my logic anyways.

Sweet Onion Dip Recipe and Holiday Party Tips

TIP: Keep it simple by serving some ready made goodies from your grocery stores bakery or deli, along with a couple of your favorite recipes.

For this spread, I made the sweet onion dip and pecan tassies myself. Everything else came from the Publix bakery. Serve the bakery goodies on your own plates and platters, and nobody will be the wiser.

TIP: Choose recipe you can make ahead of time. This delicious Sweet Onion Dip can be refrigerated up to 2 days before serving.
