Times are tough and I am all about saving time and money these days. I use coupons as much as possible and since we live out in the country, I do a lot of shopping online. Walgreens has figured out a way to help their customers save even more time and money. I’m certainly interested in that! With their newest loyalty program, Walgreens rewards loyal customers with Balance Rewards.

After visiting the Walgreens web site and joining Balance Rewards, I downloaded the free Walgreens app from the Google Play store on my smart phone. I was surprised to learn how many things I could do right from the app such as scanning prescriptions for refills, viewing the weekly ads, shopping, managing my Balance Rewards and so much more.
I love the photo features that are available through the app. You can do things like copy pictures from your Facebook page and order prints to pick up at your local Walgreens or have them shipped directly to you. There are so many pictures that I want to get copies of!
Instant Points, Endless Rewards
Like I said before, I do a lot of shopping online. But I have never shopped from my cell phone before. Shopping with the Walgreens app couldn’t be any easier. They have all the different departments broken down for you such as Beauty and Personal Care. You can search for the items you want by category or do a search for a specific brand. I needed to stock up on some personal care items, so I headed to that department first. In the Personal Care department I was easily able to find what I needed. For example, I used the app to shop for razors. They had every brand of razor possibly available in the store and maybe even more.
One feature that I really like is as you add items to your cart, they tell you how much more you need to spend to qualify for the FREE shipping which is available on orders over $25.00.
Did I mention that after signing up for an account on Walgreens.com, they sent me an email with a coupon for $5.00 off my first online order over $30.00? Did I also mention how much I love deals? I was excited to use my $5.00 savings coupon and take advantage of the FREE shipping they were offering on online orders over $25.00.
I like that Walgreens gives the option of in-store pick up or having it shipped directly to my home. Living so far from town, taking advantage of the free shipping is a no-brainer for me. Plus I am always forgetting to do things like calling in prescriptions. I like that I can do it from the app, on-the-go.
After shopping for all of my items, check out was a breeze. The usual payment and shipping information was required. Walgreens provided me with a confirmation number, plus they sent me confirmation by email.
Are you ready to save time and money?
The best thing about doing my shopping from Walgreens is that now I will be earning rewards through the new Balance Rewards loyalty program. There are many different loyalty programs out there. Some are great and others not so much. I can see the points adding up really fast through Balance Rewards, plus Walgreens is a store that I already like to shop at. It’s nice to save on products that we actually really use and need.
If you sign up for Balance Rewards by September 15th you are entered to win 1 Million loyalty points!
