Today I am sharing a very simple Halloween craft using washi tape and mason jars. As soon as I got up this morning, I knew I was finally going to do something with that Halloween washi tape I picked up at Michaels a few weeks ago.
At first I thought I was going to make some Halloween cards, but soon found myself grabbing some jars out of the cupboard.
Last week I was feeling really sick with a sinus infection. Yesterday was the first day that I was feeling better, so I baked a delicious apple butter snack cake with cream cheese frosting. (Recipe coming to the blog soon!)
Today I am crafting, so I must really be getting better. This weekend I have to spend some serious time getting caught up on some work.
I really don’t have a tutorial for this washi tape Halloween mason jar craft. You don’t really need one, after seeing the pictures for inspiration.
All you will need is a mason jar, washi tape, googly eyes, black marker, craft glue and some scissors. For the Frankenstein jar, I cut some slits into the bottom of a piece of tape to give the illusion of hair. He’s my favorite. I think he came out pretty cute!
After making these, I wasted about 30 minutes looking for some orange and white paper straws, that I never did find. Lately it seems like I spend half of my day looking for things. I guess that’s a sign to get my office and craft room better organized…. maybe tomorrow.
What’s great about this washi tape craft, is that after Halloween I can easily tear it off and use the mason jars for something else!
What are you working on for Halloween?
Looks so cute and easy, I’m going to try it with the boychild.
So cute!! Love that it used washi tape which is my favorite!! Thanks 🙂
Aw, they’re cute. I like that the kids could help with these too. I’m sure my teen would love it, this is the kind of stuff she’s always enjoyed doing.
Oh how cute! A fun gift for a teacher too!
These are so cute! I love googly eyes, they are so fun.

I need to get my Halloween swagger on! I haven’t even broken out our decorations yet!
