Have I mentioned lately that I love washi tape? It’s quite obviously my latest obsession. This morning as I sat in my cozy little house, watching the first snow flakes of the season fall to the ground here in Georgia, I decided it was the perfect time to pull out out my stash of Valentine’s Day wash tape and get crafting. We don’t get snow very often here in eastern Georgia, so this bit of snow is a real treat. It’s supposed to pick up as the afternoon goes on, so I’m hoping to get some fun snow pics later today. In the meantime, I had a bit of fun making washi tape Valentines – gift tags and a trinket box.

Washi Tape Valentines - Gift Tags and Trinket Box

Pick Your Plum recently offered a sweet deal on Valentine’s Day washi tape and I got a little carried away, so I’ve been trying to come up with different ways to use it. I have a few more projects to do this week, but am excited to share these gift tags and a sweet little trinket box with you.

Washi Tape Valentines - Gift Tags

To make the gift tags, I used some standard white tags and embellished them with pieces of washi tape. I simply tied a piece of red and white twine to the ends.

I picked up this sweet little silver trinket box for a couple of dollars on my list visit to Jo-Ann’s. A couple pieces of washi tape and some twine really transformed it. I’ll probably fill it with some sour cherries or Conversation Hearts candy and let my niece give it to a friend for Valentine’s Day. I think it’s a sweet little gift.

There are no scissors or glue needed for these projects, so it’s a fun one to let the little ones help with.

Are you working on any Valentine projects this week?

No but these are some great ideas. My daughter loves tape and has a few rolls of decorative ones to play with. I’ll have to let her know there are still more ways to use it…other than on things all over the house…

I absolutely love these. What a simple way to personalize a gift tag.

I just “discovered” washi tape, and am having fun crafting with it. My 4yo and 2yo have even gotten in on the action.

Those are awesome! My niece loves washi tape, too. I’ll have to show her your crafts and get her inspired to do something fun. As for the snow… come to Indiana. I’m over it! LOL

These are so cute! What a fantastic idea! I don’t know if there’s any washi tape here but I’ll keep my eyes open.

Thanks! Most of my Valentine tape came from Pick Your Plum and Consumer Crafts. Some from Michaels and Jo-Ann’s.
