Copycat Cracker Barrel  Fried Apples  made in the Slow Cooker

I can't wait for you to make this recipe!

This Apple Cinnamon French Toast is such a great make ahead recipe for brunch or just a special breakfast. It’s both visually appealing and delicious. My family loves this recipe!

Grab your ingredients!

– 5 pounds Honey Crisp and Granny Smith apples, cored and cut into wedges – ½ cup brown sugar – ¼ cup sugar – 2 tablespoons cornstarch – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1 lemon, juice only – ½ cup butter, melted – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Prepare the slow cooker liner with nonstick cooking spray. Place the apples in the slow cooker.

Step 1

Stir together the dry ingredients: both sugars, cornstarch, and cinnamon.

Step 2

Sprinkle the mixture over the apples and toss the apples until evenly coated.

Step 3

In a large measuring cup, stir together the melted butter, lemon juice, and vanilla. Pour over the apples.

Step 4

Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 2 hours. Be careful not to overcook as the apples will look intact but fall apart upon stirring. Stir gently prior to serving.
