This is a sponsored post, brought to you by MetLife. The dreams and heartfelt opinions shared are my own. When I started my family, I had big dreams. The white picket fence, happily ever after kind of dreams. We would live in a perfect house, and I would have a perfect marriage. My children would all be healthy and deliriously happy. They would never want for anything. In a perfect world.
The desire to provide our children with the very best, and a sense of love and security is something that all parents want. The “My Dad’s Story” video from MetLife shows parenting at it’s finest, expressing the dreams and sacrifices we all share as parents.
Go on… grab a tissue, before you watch. This video is going to tug at your heart strings.
I can’t wait to hear what you think about this video. What would you sacrifice for your child? To me this video so perfectly portrays the love, hardships, sacrifices and desires of most parents.
“A child’s future is worth every sacrifice.”
One of the things I took away from the MetLife “My Dad’s Story” video is that we can create our own destiny.
Sometimes life is difficult. Really difficult. As parents we do everything we can to shield our children from these harsh realities. After my divorce, life for me and my four kids was really hard at times. I did my best to shield them from it, although I think the difficulties and hardships helped make them the kind and hard-working people they are today. Through it all, I managed to raise four incredible human beings.
It has always been my dream for my children to get a good education, and live happy and successful lives. I want them to pursue their own dreams and live life to it’s fullest.

My husband and I don’t have children, but we have wishes for our nieces and nephews. We essentially want them to have lives full of joy.
Such a great video. I can’t say I do or feel like I sacrifice for my kids, because it’s a choice I make. I WANT them to be successful and if that means I can’t do something, so be it.
Oh, my heart just felt the biggest tug watching that. I have 4 kids and each one has different. Some of them have very expensive dreams and we have to forgo a lot of things to afford it all. It’s worth it.
I dream for them to be happy, healthy and successful.
I dream for my kids to have the drive to work hard for the things they want. Nothing is more rewarding than that.
What do I dream for my future children? Happiness and for them to really find themselves not for I, society or anyone else want them to be. I want them to be themeselves and shine bright!
I don’t have children, but as a former educator my dream for all children is an attainable education, it will make their future’s brighter and our world a much better place!
My dream is for my kids to have it better and be better than I am. I want take all of my wisdom, knowledge, AND mistakes, and make sure my kids know what to avoid so that maybe they’ll do even better than I’ve done.
I watched that video the other day and it made me cry. I always pray that my children will grow up healthy, happy, respectful to others, and be good citizens.
I dream of health, wealth, and happiness for them, cause they deserve it!
