This is a sponsored post, brought to you by MetLife. The dreams and heartfelt opinions shared are my own. When I started my family, I had big dreams. The white picket fence, happily ever after kind of dreams. We would live in a perfect house, and I would have a perfect marriage. My children would all be healthy and deliriously happy. They would never want for anything. In a perfect world.
The desire to provide our children with the very best, and a sense of love and security is something that all parents want. The “My Dad’s Story” video from MetLife shows parenting at it’s finest, expressing the dreams and sacrifices we all share as parents.
Go on… grab a tissue, before you watch. This video is going to tug at your heart strings.
I can’t wait to hear what you think about this video. What would you sacrifice for your child? To me this video so perfectly portrays the love, hardships, sacrifices and desires of most parents.
“A child’s future is worth every sacrifice.”
One of the things I took away from the MetLife “My Dad’s Story” video is that we can create our own destiny.
Sometimes life is difficult. Really difficult. As parents we do everything we can to shield our children from these harsh realities. After my divorce, life for me and my four kids was really hard at times. I did my best to shield them from it, although I think the difficulties and hardships helped make them the kind and hard-working people they are today. Through it all, I managed to raise four incredible human beings.
It has always been my dream for my children to get a good education, and live happy and successful lives. I want them to pursue their own dreams and live life to it’s fullest.

What a beautiful video, it’s just so heart warming and saddening at the same time
My dream for my child is that he will be successful in everything that he works hard at! I can already tell he’s like his dad, and he will work hard for us!
I dream for contentment for my future child. A good education won’t hurt, of course…
The question itself makes me a little emotional!!! Of course, I wish for my kids to be healthy and happy and I will support them in everything they do!
I dream of happiness and security for my children. And I don’t necessarily mean financial security. But I want my children have the freedom and ability to pursue their dreams!
Being a parent is hard…My dream for my child is to find happiness in every thing she does in life.
I just have simple dreams for my kids that they grow up happy and healthy. Oh, and able to support themselves 😉
My dreams for my two kids are what they’re really wanted to achieve in their live, in the future and I’m happy to guide them.
I dream that my child will be happy and able to have friends. With his disorder it’s difficult for him to make friends and I don’t want to that change his attitude, he’s such a lovable guy.
My husband and I have been very lucky with our daughters. All three of them have finished college and have great careers. Their husbands are all three very successful as well. We’re hoping they will soon take care of us!
