1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 ounces) 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 large eggs 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips optional
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
If using, fold in the chocolate chips to the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing into squares.
