Homemade Tortilla Chips for a Festive Party
Want to make a cute snack for a party or a get together. Try making homemade tortilla chips but with a twist. Make your own Festive Party Tortilla Chips
Ingredients
- 8 Uncooked corn tortillas found in the dairy section
- Pink, blue, and green food coloring
- Butter cooking spray
- Sea salt
You will also need:
- Parchment paper
- Baking sheet
- Cupcake & ice cream cone cookie cutters
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Place your corn tortillas onto your parchment paper
- Use a cookie cutter to cut out your shapes, toss the scraps away
- Mix each food coloring with a tablespoon of water
- Using a piece of paper towel, dip it into your food coloring and water mix and rub it into the top of your shapes. If you have a new kids paint brush, you can use that too. It takes longer but the kids can have fun painting with the different colors.
- Cook your chips for 6-7 minutes on each side
- Spray with a little butter cooking spray and sprinkle a little salt on top
- Cook for another couple minutes
- Serve with a little salsa and enjoy!
