I had to do it. I added bacon to my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. Isn’t everything better with bacon, after all? I have to be honest with you and say that everyone in my family wasn’t won over by this Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe. My mom wasn’t so much a fan of them. But my brother and the kids loved them. I’ll add my vote to the latter party.
A few weeks ago, I was listening to the Rachael Ray show while getting some work done at my desk. I believe the whole show was dedicated to bacon. My attention was peaked when I heard that bacon chocolate chip cookies were being given to the lucky audience members. It was such a revelation. Why hadn’t I thought to make these cookies before? Surely, chocolate chip cookies would only be better with the addition of bacon?
So, I gave it a go and here is the recipe. You can’t really see the bits of bacon in the cookies, but you can sure taste them. These cookies are a real treat!

The idea of bacon in my cookies scares me, but at the same time, I am a bacon addict so it can’t be that bad, right!?
Oh, I wish I would have seen this recipe last night when I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies for the family. Maybe I’ll give this recipe a try on them. Have you tried this recipe with just regular bacon? What about turkey bacon?
I would say go with whatever kind of bacon you like to eat!
Oh my these sound so good!!!!!! pinned this recipe and will definitely be trying these. Thanks for posting it.
My husband is a bacon HOUND. I could see making these for his birthday dinner next month! Funny but have heard bacon and chocolate is pretty good!
these look sinfully good
I am going to make these for my husband. He eats the bacon icecream from BK all the time, so I know he will love these and probably way cheaper!
I baked yesterday and I have a friend that loves bacon in her baked goods. Gotta try it!
I am not sure I would like them. I know my son and husband would love them! They would eat bacon at every meal if they could.
I would SO make these tonight just to see if my family likes them, but hubby is on a diet. rats. haha!
I have everything on hand so i am going to try this!!
I MUST make these. My husband would go crazy. Thanks for sharing.
This sounds strange but yummy!
I don’t eat bacon, but maybe I will try this recipe with a vegetarian bacon substitute. It just might work…
Thanks for sharing!
We made these once a couple years ago. I was surprised how good they were!
Okay, I don’t eat bacon (unless it’s turkey bacon) but I had to pin this for my brother and boyfriend. They both think bacon goes with anything. What a unique recipe!
It’s such a genius combination. Seriously! My uncle has been making these for a while and we all love them. Have you had bacon fudge? That’s pretty good too!
Oh my! Bacon fudge sounds amazing!
I’m not a huge bacon fan but my husband is. And he adores chocolate chip cookies so I think he would love to try these!
I’ve made bacon chocochip cookies, my recipe is slightly different. They’re pretty delicious, aren’t they!?!?
i want some now..looks like i got to make em’..thanks
I am not sure how much I would like bacon in my chocolate chip cookies although I love them both separately
Nom nom nom.
I made brownies with bacon in them. That was pretty good!
These look so good. But I feel like they’re so bad for you. But YOLO.
If my kids knew it was in there I don’t think they’d try it. My problem would be not eating all the bacon before putting it in the cookies!
sound good !
I am going to try these but want to know if they need to be kept in the refrigerator since there is pork in them?
Yes, I recommend keeping these in the fridge. Great question!
