Did these candy corn fruit cups turn out quite as I had envisioned them? Not so much…but they are delicious, and after tossing a few pieces of candy corn onto the serving tray you can tell what they are supposed to be….kinda.. sorta.
Anyways, here’s what they do have going for them.
Candy Corn Fruit Cups are healthier than most of our desserts.
They are colorful (yellow, orange and white).
It’s a fun snack for Halloween!
My favorite…The kids were easily fooled into eating fruit for dessert.
I made two different versions of these candy corn fruit cups. For the first version I prepared a box of banana cream instant pudding and stirred in one diced banana. That was the bottom layer.
Next, I spooned on some mandarin orange slices for the middle layer. Then I topped it off with some whipped topping. That’s where it all went wrong for me. I think they would have looked more like candy corn had I swirled on some redi-whip from a can. They needed a more pointy effect.
For the second version, I simply used a bottom layer of pineapple chunks. Followed by a middle layer of sliced peaches, and again with the whipped topping.
The family enjoyed them and it was a super simple way to get festive for Halloween.
So what do you think? Are they candy cornish enough for you?
I am not a big fan of candy corn, but my kids are. I bet they would like these
Those look SUPER YUMMY!!! I want to make these for our Halloween party!!! Pinning!!!

Those are so cute! I don’t really like candy corn, but my son loves it.
cute! The colors match the candy corn so well!
My daughter says she wants these for her Halloween party. I was not aware of this Halloween party.
LOL We’re always the last to know!
These look tasty. I love when I can get them to eat fruit and have them think of it as dessert.
