I love small bites, appetizers and nibbles. These cream cheese mushroom bites are a wonderful appetizer recipe to make for your next dinner party or holiday get-together with friends or family.

This appetizer is so simple and delicious! People will think you slaved over them, when really you can whip these up in a short amount of time.

During the holiday season, I want appetizers like these cream cheese mushroom bites that require few ingredients and have a real wow factor. These little beauties are sure to become your most requested appetizer. The recipe can very easily be doubled or tripled for larger parties.

These are great served warm straight out of the oven, but also at room temperature.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Portobello mushrooms
  • 1/2 Cup cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsps melted butter
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 1 Tsp pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsps chopped parsley

Instructions:

Step 1: Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2: In a small bowl combine the butter, salt, pepper, and garlic.

Step 3: Remove mushroom stems and toss mushrooms in the bowl.

Step 4: Place mushrooms on a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Step 5: Fill mushrooms with a scoop of cream cheese.

Step 6: Garnish with chopped parsley.

Serve and enjoy.

Tip: Substitute parsley for freshly chopped cilantro.
