Going on a cruise is such a great way to escape the frigid winter weather. Imagine yourself sitting on a white sand beach with the sun shining bright overhead. You’re falling into a deep relaxed state as you slowly breath in the aromatic sea air. Sounds pretty great right now, doesn’t it? This past December while my friends and family back home were enduring below freezing temperatures, I got to escape winter to a private beach excursion in Cozumel via Carnival Ecstasy. There are so many things I love about cruising, but getting to explore different ports of call is at the top of my list. Get ready to experience a serious case of wanderlust as I share highlights from my private beach excursion in Cozumel, Mexico.
My favorite vacations involve the water in some way. It goes back to the annual beach vacations I went on as a kid with my family. The beach is my happy place.
When your Carnival Cruise ship visits a tropical port of call, there is sure to be a great beach nearby, especially when in Cozumel..
Escape Winter to a Private Beach Excursion in Cozumel
There are many wonderful beach excursion to choose from when you make port in Cozumel, but if you want to get away from the crowds the La Casa En La Playa – A Select Retreat shore excursion is a great option. You, along with a small group, will be driven by bus to a luxurious private getaway at an exclusive Caribbean-style beach house that comes complete with all amenities including a chef, bartender and gracious host. It’s the kind of living this girl could easily get used to!
Beach front lounge chars, hammocks, cabana beds, and beach umbrellas await you by the surf.
The exotic tropical scenery and warm Caribbean water is mesmerizing. In no time, you’re sure to feel all the stress and worries from home slipping away. It’s truly paradise. I felt so incredibly at ease sitting on the quiet beach.
You can sip on a tropical drink while the chef prepares you a traditional Mexican lunch. Beach side appetizers were served, and there were several different mouth-watering entrees to choose from for lunch. The chef even prepared something special for the picky-eater in my family.
The staff made sure that we wanted for nothing during our beach excursion.
Swim and splash around in the warm western Caribbean waters.
There is just something so calming and relaxing about sitting with your toes in the sand, feeling the ocean breeze, and the sun shining on your face as you gaze out at the crashing waves. My family had such a wonderful time on this private beach excursion in Cozumel. The private beach and house were gorgeous, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I can say is that the excursion lasted for 5 hours when I could have easily stayed there for days on end. There is still have a bit of winter left, and I’m getting the itch to book a last minute Carnival cruise.
Are you ready to escape the chill of winter and cruise away to a tropical paradise?

I loved visiting Cozumel. My family went snorkeling with stingray when we were there. It was so much fun.
We love cruising and have always gone with Carnival when it was time to set sail. A private beach in Mexico sounds like exactly what we need after a month of stressful situations.
