We had a fun Halloween party last weekend, and I just realize that I forgot to share with you some of the ghoulish and creepy Halloween treats that I made for the party. If you are a regular follow of this blog, you know that I am all for keeping things simple and these two creepy Halloween snacks certainly fit the bill.

2 Easy and Oh-So Creepy Recipes for Halloween

Ghoulish Halloween Treats

Deviled Eyeballs Eggs

Ghoulish Halloween Treat - Deviled Eyeball Eggs

These Deviled Eyeball Eggs were so easy to make and turned out much better than I had expected. I never use a recipe when I make deviled eggs.

It’s one of those foods where you add a little this and a little of that, until you get the right consistency. My deviled egg filling has the usual suspects: yolks, mayonnaise, relish, olives, and mustard. For these particular eggs, I added green food coloring.

Each egg was topped with a slice of black olive and bit of pimento. To create the veins, I used a bit of red food coloring and a toothpick. Aren’t they creepy?

Creepy Finger Breadsticks with Bloody Marinara Dipping Sauce

Finger Breadsticks with Bloody Marinara Dipping Sauce

I have to say that the kids had a lot of fun with these finger bread sticks and the bloody marinara sauce. You won’t believe how ridiculously simple these were to make, thanks to Pillsbury Garlic Breadsticks and sliced almonds.

To make these, simply cut strips from the Pillsbury bread dough, along the perforated lines, using a pizza cutter. Place the bread strips on a greased cookie sheet. Round the finger tips a little using your fingers. Brush a little egg wash onto the finger tip where the finger nail will go. Lightly press a piece of sliced almond onto the end of the finger, and bake according to the Pillsbury package directions. Serve with your favorite marinara sauce.

Those are cute. Nice that they are really something to eat, too, and not just junk food.

I love the Deviled Eggs! I make a version of the finger bread, they are Witchy Finger cookies. I like the dye the dough green to make them super creepy.
