Do you love beef and broccoli? Trying to stay on a low carb keto diet? Use this recipe for Keto Beef and Broccoli to have the food you crave and still stay on the Keto lifestyle. It’s a delicious and easy Asian inspired stir-fry that will keep you feeling full and on track with your diet.

When I order Chinese takeout I love to order beef and broccoli. The flavors and the tastes and the whole dish is a long time favorite. I know that many of the take-out Chinese foods are loaded with sugar and therefore not a good choice, especially when I am eating low carb. I’ve dieted on and off for years. I’m not currently on a keto diet, but am still keeping my carb count low. That is why I really like this Keto Beef and Broccoli recipe. It is hard giving up the foods you love and this dish is so good you won’t know there is anything missing.

By making a few changes in the sauce, you can make this a Keto Chinese food. You can have the whole thing, everything. Like having your keto friendly cake and eating it too.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. Broccoli florets or broccolini
  • 5 lbs. Thin cut steak sliced into strips
  • ⅔ c Soy sauce divided
  • 1 ½ tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Swerve brown sugar substitute divided
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Pinch of xanthan gum
  • 2 Cloves garlic
  • ⅓ c Bone broth
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions:

Step 1: Place the steak into a mixing bowl.

Step 2: In a small bowl, combine ⅓ cup of the soy sauce, 1 tbsp of the Swerve brown sugar substitute and the lemon juice.

Step 3: Pour the marinade mixture over the steak, and add pepper to taste. Toss to coat well. Marinate in the fridge for at least an hour.Pouring the soy sauce, brown sugar substitute, and lemon juice marinade over sliced steak for Keto Beef and Broccoli.

Step 4: Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 5: Add the steak to the heated skillet, and cook for 5-8 minutes until it is seared well and reaches your desired level of doneness.Cooking thin-cut steak strips for Keto Beef and Broccoli in a hot skillet.

Step 6: While the steak is cooking, lightly blanch the broccoli florets or broccolini for 3-4 minutes, and then rinse under cold water.

Step 7: When the steak is almost done cooking, add the garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.

Step 8: Mix together the other ⅓ cup of soy sauce, bone broth and 1 tbsp of Swerve brown sugar substitute. You can also add a pinch of xanthan gum to help thicken the sauce mixture. A little goes a long way.

Step 9: Add the broccoli to the skillet with the steak, and pour the sauce over the broccoli and beef. Stir to combine, and cook for 1-2 minutes longer.
