For this fun homemade gummy worms recipe you will use candy and chocolate molds to make fun gummy worms and insects. I found some great worm and insect candy molds on Amazon.
Homemade Gummy Worms & Bugs
Ingredients:
1 – 3 oz box of flavored gelatin
2 – 1/4 oz packages of unflavored gelatin (Knox)
1/3 cup water
Directions:
Place 1/3 cup water in small saucepan. Sprinkle both the flavored and unflavored gelatin into the water. Let sit for 10 minutes. Place saucepan over medium heat and stir until gelatin is dissolved, about 2 – 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for a couple of minutes. Transfer the gelatin mixture into a container that will be easy to pour from, to fill your molds. Pour into molds and let cool on counter top for 20 minutes or in refrigerator for 10 minutes. Once cooled you can lightly dust the backs with cornstarch (optional). Remove gummy worms and bugs from molds and enjoy!
